Artist Depeche Mode
Title Precious
Label Mute
Genre Progressive / electro

The first single to be released from techno-pop legends Depeche Mode new album “Playing The Angle” is “Precious” and it has all the known signatures of another Depeche Mode hit. The great thing with “Precious” is that Depeche Mode has gone back and incorporated nostalgic synthesizer sounds and riffs, but kept it fresh and updated. On remixes Michael Mayer, Motor and Misc. (Christopher Bleckmann and Hannes Wenner) delivers electro fuelled versions of the track. But the jewel in the crown of this release is the two remixes done by Sasha and Spooky. The Gargantuan remix is a bouncy affair and the Sasha´s Spooky mix is a wonderful interpretation of the original and has cool rhythm. (CA) Rating: 9 / 10
