Heineken Green Room Sessions |
|
|
|
For the second time Heineken Green Room Sessions returned to Denmark.
After the success last year where Infusion, Lexicon Avenue and Pete
Gooding delivered a breathtaking progressive night in Copenhagen and in
Aarhus, the surroundings and music were very different for this year
Green Room Sessions. The venue was the renowned and classic dance place
NIMB in the centre of Copenhagen and the musical focus was the Danish
group Blue Foundation, the English DJ Luke Solomon and a long string of
Danish House DJs, including Thomas Madvig, Morten Trøst, Asle, Dexta,
Delicious, Jesper Fryd, Tom Collins and Nicka. |

At 20.00 the doors were opened for a special invited pre-party celebrating
Blue Foundation, that had won gold for their “Sweep Of Days” album. The
200 - 250 people had a nice time with a Heineken and Thomas Madvig on
the decks playing nice catchy tunes. At 21.30 people began queuing up,
to secure their seat at this free event. At 22.00 the doors were opened
and people entered the venue and at that time the queue had reached the
corner of Hard Rock Café. |

|
The rest of the venue was slowly filling up and the upstairs was now opened for
the audience, and many people went to the room to secure a nice spot for the
Blue Foundation concert while Nicka was trying to get them to dance. The doors
had been opened an extra ½ hour than what was stated on the invitation and at
midnight the doors were closed, regardless of people still queuing up. Upstairs
a smaller room was opened where Asle, Jesper Fryd and Morten Trøst delivered
some very nice house tunes throughout the night and in the hallway Sony showed
their new portable PlayStation the PSP. |

At 01.00 Blue Foundation went on stage and they had the audience in their hands
from the start. Many people had just come for this exclusive concert and sadly
had forgotten to party before and after. Blue Foundation played until 03.00 and
gave us amongst other tracks their hits “Save This Town” and “End Of The Day” –
the audience had a ball and it looked like Blue Foundation also enjoyed
themselves, playing a 20 minutes longer set than normal. |
|
Around 03.00 Luke Solomon went up behind the decks in the main room. Later in
the night the audience began quietly to leave the venue and have had a lovely
evening in a nice atmosphere. |
