Label profile: Hooj Choons

One of the UK's largest progressive labels, releasing numerous #1 records to the world. Its changing styles throughout the years did much to guide the tastes of DJ's and dancefloors around the world. Probably best known for rereleasing the mid-90's dancefloor hit "Café Del Mar" by Energy 52, which remains a dancefloor classic. It specialized in progressive house and progressive trance, although later releases dabbled in breaks, deep house, electro and ambient flavors.

After more than 10 years Hooj Choons have proved to be one of the more influential labels that has pushed the progressive genre into bigger and better places. Veterens in the Industry, Hooj has been behind some classic releases in the last decade, notceably from legend producer Oliver Lieb, Energy 52, Medway and Tilt just to name a few.
