Miss Kitten was born in the French Alps, listening to Genesis, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd & The Beatles with her parents. In the early nineties she started Djing and likes to play, minimal, deep, classics, electro to kicking techno mixed with funny leftfield tunes. From then, the time went faster and her music as well. Working with people like Michel Amato (also know as The Hacker), Tobi Neumann, Chicks On Speed & L.A Williams, her name and “post”-electro sound became famous around the globe. Her voice and her whole atmosphere are unique in the electro and techno-scene. Being played at fashion houses in Milan to small clubs in Germany, Miss kitten is for “nearly” everybody. Sex-fixated and happy music from an outstanding woman who we got hold of after a concert at Stengade 30 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
How did the concert go? - many people came to see you, did you expect that?

-No, it was amazing Rock and Roll, people went crazy. The Number of people was on the max, but they were all in party mood! In a small venue like Stengade 30 it became a little harassed - otherwise it was an excellent party and good music all night long.

The meaning with Inhale & Exhale - is it symbolic?

-Yes it is very symbolic; Inhale and Exhale is the first and the last thing you do in life. Inhaling is the most important when you are getting born and when you die the last thing you do is exhaling. I think the meaning in that is quite thought-provoking.

What do you mean with your chansons? - Do you have a message in your lyrics?

-No not at all. People can think and do what they want with them. I just write them and when I do that, I don’t think so much of the meaning. Only that it have to be fun, amusing and something I like.

What it is the meaning with different languages?

-I think it is funny to explore languages. It’s my style to do something different, and for example the Serbo-Croatian language.

How do you prefer to play? DJ or Live, and how much live do you do it?

-Well I mostly sing when I perform live. I like to concentrate my work on one or two things, so my focus still can be with the audience and then create some fun between them and me. Dj’ing is my absolute best craft. “The records are speaking for me” - to take two total different styles of numbers and then muddle up a cool track is the best.
You are using punk rock and even some funk - is this for fun or a new style?

-Hmm... I guess it’s for the excitement when I’ am doing it, and to try something different to what I have done before.

Miss Kitten, who is she really?

-I’ll keep my personal life out of business. I’am Miss Kitten and this is my job. People don’t know and shall not know the “real” me. Then the magic wouldn’t be there.

Best production and best co-operation?

-That will be with “The Hacker”! We had an excellent time together. Not only in our work but we became good friends and “He is my absolute soul mate".

You don’t like the word Diva, but what do you think about that people are calling you “Diva of electronic music”?

-Some people need that word. I know, they can call my what they want I will still be Miss Kitten. I make music because I like it and what gets with that is unpredictable.

Your “model-picture” for what you are doing?

-“No I don’t have one person who I think is my ideal. I have friends and family, which I think are so charming and that I’ am seeing up to. Many years ago I was a big fan of Madonna, now I can’t take her anymore, time is changing.”
