Armada
Canada’s own Max Graham delivers a brilliant mix on Armada. No doubt that Max Graham still has the touch and has chosen a wide range of tracks and mixes from the likes of Lemon 8, Patch Park, Simon & Shaker, Roland Klinkenberg, and from himself. But he still keeps it fresh and melodic. A great compilation.  (CA) Rating: 8 /10
Quivver – Dirty Nails & Vapour Tails

Finally one of my favourite producers releases his debut album. John Graham also know as Quivver or under the Space Manoeuvres or Tilt group guises has over the years delivered some fantastic tracks for the progressive house floors. “Dirty Nails & Vapour Tails” is a fantastic progression of his sound, and you are given 10 tracks mixed together on one CD and all the tracks unmixed for you to enjoy in your own mix. Well done Mr. Graham. (CA) Rating: 9/10
Flash Brothers – Elements 03
Baroque Records
The third instalment of the Baroque Records Elements series sees the fantastic outfit from Israel Flash Brothers. The CD includes 10 great tracks all remixed by the three brothers by the name of Ruven, Ilan and Shmuel Flaishler. CD One is a continued mix by The Flash Brothers and CD Two is a DJ friendly unmixed CD.  (CA) Rating: 8 /10
Electric 03 mixed by Ben Korbel

In a new series created by the label behind the brilliant Balance series, the Electric series are exploring the electro scene. Here you can find new tracks and mixes by the likes of Swayzak, Der Dritte Raum and Villalobos to name a few. Ben Korbel does a nice job on this the third release in the series and actually it is the best so far. (CA) Rating: 8 /10
Guy J – Esperanza
Bedrock
Bedrock Records returns with an electro fused album by the successful Israeli producer Guy J.He has already a numerous hit singles including “Under Pressure”, “Geko” and “Mirko”. A bonus CD is included in the release and includes club mixes of tracks from the album.  (CA) Rating: 7 /10
Sasha – The EmFire Collection

Perhaps one of the best albums of 2008 comes from the hands of Australian James Cayzer aka. Jaytech. “Everything Is Ok” is a brilliant melodic album, it has a relaxed laidback atmosphere and you just can’t get enough of his fantastic sound.  (CA) Rating: 9 /10

German techno guru Monika Kruse has finally released her first solo album. The album is produced together with Gregor Tresher and consists of 10 electro fused tracks. The sound is minimal and the mid tempo of the tracks draws you deep into Monika Kruse´s sound.  (CA) Rating: 10 /10
Monika Kruse – Changes Of Perception

Mike Truman and Chris Healings bring their unique sound to a new level. On the first CD of Soundsystem 01 they show their love for movie soundtracks and mix this up with some of the great electronic tracks by the likes of Trentemøller, Massive Attack and Lostep. On CD two the tempo goes up with tracks from Sasha, Quivver and Hybrid  (CA) Rating: 9/10
Armin Van Buuren – Imagine

 “Imagine” is his third studio album and is an uplifting album that includes collaborations which Chris Jones on “Going Wrong” and Sharon Den Adel on “In And Out Of Love” amongst others. Armin Van Buuren shows how proper vocal trance should be done and the Dutch lawyer once more has delivered a great trance album. (CA) Rating: 8/10
Pole Folder – Destinations

The successful electronic music internet radiostation debut release is by Belgium born Benoit Franquet, also known as Pole Folder. “Destinations” showcases a broad verity of the current music styles including tracks from Clubbervision, Andy Moor and Pole Folder himself.  (CA) Rating: 7/10

The Toolroom Knights compilation series just keep on coming, within a very short time Mark Knight, the man behind Toolroom Records, had released his own mix, and shortly after we have seen releases from Dave Spoon and Dirty South.  (CA) Rating: 6/10

Shank Sinatra have released their “Barcoded (part1)” a mixture of own tracks and remixes. David Guetta has mixed the soundtrack to “Fuck Me I´m Famous vol.2.” out on Ministry Of Sound. Solarstone is back with “Rain Star Eternal” and Above & Beyond´s OceanLab project release their debut album. Axel Dolby is out with his debut album “Psiko Garden” on Global Underground. Kasey Taylor is out with a “Gems” collection of original tracks and remixes.

Omid16B has delivered a fantastic follow-up album to his 2002 success “How To Live 100 Years” that was released on Hooj. Out on his own Sex On Wax label, the 2 part “Like 3 Ears And 1 Eye” is a fantastic ride into the musical universe of Omid 16b with his deep groovy rhymes and melodic feel that really gets your feet moving. Skylark –i-Panik

Skylark aka. Nic Fanciulli and Andy Chatterley release their debut album on NRK Music. Skylark are also know for their moniker Buick Project. “i-Panik” is a voyage into deep techno and house.Also incl. in the release is a bonus remix CD, where Funk D´Void´s remix of “Blocked In” stands out. (CA) Rating: 7 /10

The compilation is unmixed and covers the dark minimal over melodic tech house to the progressive and upbeat. A great debut for Swordtail Records that is a most for progressive lovers. “Calling All Nations“ is a collection of music from Gung-Ho! Showcasing the last 2 years worth of releases from the label, and it also gives you some of the upfront tracks coming form Gung-Ho! Recordings. The track list includes tracks amongst other Greg Churchill and GusGus all unmixed in a DJ friendly fashion. (CA)  Rating: 6 /10

The Dutch producer and DJ Tiësto are back with perhaps his best album if he has just left out the bonus track and the awful stabbing energy trance tracks like “Dance4Life” and ”Carpe Noctum”. “Elements OF Life” includes 3 tracks with BT and collaborations with Jes, Julie Thomson, Charlotte Martin, Christian Burns and Maxi Jazz. The vocal trance tracks are once more well produced. “Alone In The Dark” (Christian Burns on vocal) a the BT vocal track “Break My Fall” stands out. (CA)
Chemical Brothers – We Are The Night

“We Are The Night” is the sixth studio album from Ed Simons and Tom Rowland aka The Chemical Brothers. Recorded throughout 2006 in a bombproof subterranean studio in south London, the album sees the duo continue to develop their distinctive big beat sound, collaborating with the likes of The Klaxons, Willy Mason and Midlake to create a mixture of big beat, house, electro and rock. Tony Thomas – LP001 CUBIC
As a digital download only release, Tony Thomas showcases the best tracks from his labels Cubic Records and Cubic Digital. The LP001 compilation is available in one continues mix where the 13 tracks are all mixed together and also as separate tracks. On the release are “Sizzler” and “Wibble Wobble” and they were Fergies tunes of the week in BBC Radio One for a few weeks running.

Wow – Faithless have outdone themselves – this is perhaps their best album to this date. 'To All New Arrivals' is the fifth Faithless studio album and includes collaborations from Dido, Cat Power and Robert Smith helping the band to push the borders between dance and rock to new and exciting levels. Paul Oakenfold – A lively Mix

A mix CD based on tracks from Paul Oakenfold second album “A lively Mind”. All the tracks except “Not Over” have been remixed either by Oakenfold himself or by Roman Hunter. “A lively Mix” is much better than “A lively Mind”, but we are still missing the greatness that we know that Oakenfold can deliver.

The atmospheric electronic layers of Underworld mixed with the symphonic classical instruments are fantastic and this is for sure an album for the lovers of Underworld spacious atmospheric soundscapes.

The second album from Paul Oakenfold is a bit disappointing – the musical influence that he is under in the States is from my point of view not the best and I’m missing the great melodic trance tracks we know and love from Paul – we only get glimpses of his greatness with tracks like “Not Over” and “Amsterdam”. But there are also two melodic ambient wonders in “The Way I Feel” and “Vulnerable”. (CA) Rating: 8 /10
 
Ashley Casselle (Ashtrax) electro outfit The Remote releases their debut album on Global Underground. The album is heavily influenced by the 80´s electro sound and sounding vocals. The mixture of house beats and rhythms and electro works really well with the distorted guitars and Ben Lost vocal. The album is co-written by Paul Rogers and Asad Risvi. (CA) Rating: 8 /10
 
Welcome to a great ambient album by David Trusz and Johanne Williams. Sissy's debut album "All Under." sounds like the mixture between the Cardigans and Portishead with a hint of Massive Attack. The sound is dark and moody, the vocals distinctive and the use of ancient analog synths gives this album a fantastic feel. “All Under” is one of the newer electronic pop music's most exciting new releases. (CA)  Rating: 8 /10

Mike Koglin finally delivers his debut album and what a treat it is, it includes collaborations with Lange, Pulser, Darren Tate just to name a few. The last track on the album is the amazing previous unreleased mash up remix by James Zabiela has done of Sasha “Wavy Gravy” and Mike Koglin´s “Enjoy The Silence”.

Finally Jean-Michell Jarre releases the “Areo” show – but not as a live version, but in a studio version where he has taken some of his best tracks and re-recorded them and given them a new modern sound.
