Found @ Thirst final
In the narrow streets of Copenhagen, the in-place Konrad was the perfect intimate venue for the final in the Danish edition of the Found@Thirst competition. The audience was having a blast in the company of Pete Tong, Daniele Davoli, Miss Motif.
First up was Casper LT and he delivered 30 minutes of drum n bass to the max, he had a lot of energy that was transferred to the dance floor. Next up was Ulrik J but the audience wasn’t responding so well to the nice progressive set he was playing. But around halfway he had the place rocking. The final DJ was Tom Collins and from the start he had the audience eating out of his hands  with his unique mixture of house, tech-house, breaks and even some Jazz.
Pete Tong; ”Everybody was great tonight. Tonight they have played in a place and on a sound system they are not used to – so it’s tough. There can only be one winner – and we have picked one that we can show outside of Denmark and that is - Tom Collins”.
Tom Collins: “I didn’t have any nerves tonight and I think that I was well prepared for what I would play. The sound system at the final had some lacks and I could see that the other competitors had some difficulties. I tried to compensate and do my best. When I play I don’t take on the big tunes, I’m trying to build up an atmosphere and not stick to one genre – I try to blend the genres so it moves people”.
At the end of the night Pete Tong went up behind the decks and surprised the audience by playing an exclusive set.
