From Arnhem in Holland comes a range of professional record bags. Ultimate DJ Gear (UDG) started on the 1st of January 2000 with the idea of making a high quality and more comfortable record carry bag for DJ's, instead of the uncomfortable metal flight case. This was the birth of the Softbag that today is being used by DJ's like Carl Cox, Judge Jules, Paul van Dyk, Seb Fontaine, Sasha, and Tiësto, just to name a few of the long list of DJ's who have taken the Ultimate DJ Gear bags in use.

Courier Deluxe bag We had the pleasure of testing one of their latest products, the Courier Deluxe bag. The bag is an overnight soft bag for the travelling DJ who wants to have his most important records and stuff with him in the flight cabin. If the airline was to lose your record case or bag, then you still would be able to perform a set with the records that you are carrying. The bag is made of nylon and its design reflects flexibility and style. It has two main compartments, one that holds up to 40 records and the other compartment can either hold a laptop computer or a Case Logic 100 CD case, or even more records - I tested 20. But be aware of the total load of the bag, it's of course heavy. The bag has a shoulder strap with a protective shoulder cushion and well placed handles with rubber grips that give good balance when you are carrying it. The only thing that I'm missing is a pocket for the headphones; you might be able to use the outside net on the bag that is there to hold a bottle of water, or whatever you are drinking on the way. On the other side is a detachable pocket for your mobile phone. The bag is not just for the travelling DJ; it could also be used for record shopping, doing smaller sets, for just carrying with you when you are in town, visiting friends, or going to the studio. The bag comes in the colours of black, silver, and gold and the price is 59 Euros- that's around 450 Dkr.

Sling Bag The Sling Bag is a medium size bag, holding approximately 45 x 12”. One pocket on each side and front pocket, including this last one 2 CD maps holding 50 CD’s. Perfect size to carry it without any problems for a not too long DJ set! Price: 79 Euros / 600 Dkr. approx.

Sling Trolley Bag Delivering you again high quality and developed products, the Trolley will make the life much easier of those who will carry it full of records! It holds approximately 65 x12”, the trolley system includes roller blade wheels and Aluminum frame. The bag includes in the front pocket 2 CD maps holding 50 CD’s. Holds approximately 100 records, with a shoulder strap and two hold-all straps that make it easy to carry. The design is sturdy and will take practically everything that you can throw at it and still leaves your precious vinyl intact! Colors available black, navy, army, gold/bronze. Slanted SoftBag Slanted model with slanted lid for a more comfortable use when checking your records! Holds approximately 60 records, with a shoulder strap and two hold-all straps that make it easy to carry. Softbag - Leather This bag comes with a front pocket that is perfect to put your headphone, mobile or headshells in. It has a carrying handle strap finished with leather as well as a shoulder strap. This strap makes the bag easy to carry and the shoulder pad makes it comfortable too. If you order this leather bag it will be delivered to you in a special UDG sack for the ultimate protection. Bil- Lite The Bil-Lite is a lightweight lithium powered light that gives an intense bright beam that will light up a DJ's workplace.
